some things happen that can't be explained. prayers of peace to a family in griffin.

the prayer from our dear chaplain al will serve well:

May the Triune God who loves all persons as if we are the only one to love, and loves all the same as each- grant the taylors mutual encouragement and deep respect.

i'm watching the boondocks and it's a parody of the doestevsky's the grand inquisitor in which dr. martin luther king jr. didn't actually die after being shot, he slipped into a coma and re-awoke in 2000. he is treated like a hero and then after 9/11 happens, he makes a comment that although what happened in new york was horrible, the muslim terrorists are still human and our brothers. he is publicly crucified and treated like a pariah for his statement. it makes me wonder, what would happen if all of these heroes whose lives we have used as templates for a positive world of change, what would they think of what we have done with the place. would they be social outcasts all over again? is the idea of social change and radical justice too much for us to handle in person?

bonne chance à eric et emilienne...

i found some of my old pictures from prague. i'll put the gems up.

my mouth tends to fly off the handle. my friends can attest to this. i believe the term is 'word vomit'.

i had to explain to a friend tonight why i disliked one of his close friends. it just came out of nowhere because a comment was made about something that makes me angry about this disliked person in question. this all came much to the chagrin of my friend and rather than him being the normal, kind person he is, he got very defensive and was genuinely hurt by my opinion. for that, i am truly sorry. i can't apologize for the content of my statements, but i do apologize for putting you in that position. it was unfair and careless.

you're a charm. maybe i'll tell you that tomorrow.

this is a very serious question.

why does yoohoo come in a can? and why does it not have to be refrigerated? and why do you have to shake it before opening it? and most importantly of all, why does it make a disturbing fizzing noise?

isn't it supposed to be like chocolate milk?

what are we serving our children?
